PortAventura Business & Events is carrying out an ambitious 6,000 m² expansion of its Convention Centre’s infrastructure, reaching 20,000 m² in total with an investment of €11,000,000. This important new addition is scheduled for November 2019 and highlights the decisive commitment of PortAventura Business & Events to innovation and growth.
The new Convention Centre building is fully integrated into the landscape, together with the existing building, and will have a new room, called “Sala Roma”, that can be separated into three separate sections with a total area of 2,110 m², and with a capacity to welcome more than 2,000 people. This new space will have natural lighting, just like the rest of the rooms and common spaces in the Convention Centre. It will also be surrounded by terraces and Mediterranean-style gardens offering unbeatable views of both the sea and the golf courses. The new extension will also include a 880 m² kitchen that will complement the existing one located on the centre’s ground floor.
The building’s new extension has been incorporated into the Mediterranean surroundings, taking into account objectives such as sustainability and environmental friendliness. The use of natural resources and the minimization of impact on the landscape has been a priority from the very beginning.
The extension, like the rest of the building, is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility.
PortAventura Business & Events is expanding its hotel offer
The 4-star Hotel Colorado Creek, the sixth property in the complex, officially opened its doors on 1 June with unique characteristics that fits in perfectly with the PortAventura World brand values and high-quality standards that it offers to its guests.
The hotel offers 150 rooms, each 41 m² and accessible to visitors with disabilities, decorated in detail and equipped with two queen sized beds to ensure maximum comfort. All the rooms are distributed across three buildings, onto which the fourth building is attached, with a restaurant and exclusive parking.
The new hotel will complete the PortAventura Business & Events accommodation offer with a total of 2,200 rooms.
Also, at the end of May 2019, the 4-star Hotel PortAventura reopened its doors after an important renovation of its 500 rooms, common spaces and three of its restaurants (Buffet del Port, Port Regata and Pica Pica). Hotel PortAventura is the most convenient spot for PortAventura Business & Events, as it is only a 3-minute walk from the Convention Centre.
