Hotel Colorado Creek 4* will be the resort’s sixth hotel and its first zero-emission accommodation. Its construction is part of a strategic plan that will be extended to other spaces in the park to minimise the carbon footprint.

From June, PortAventura Business & Events will have use of the 4-star Hotel Colorado Creek, with a total of 150 Twin rooms. Located next to the Hotel Gold River and Hotel Mansión de Lucy, and just an 8-minute transfer from the Convention Centre, it will become the first carbon-neutral building of the complex.

This sustainable initiative begins by calculating the carbon footprint of the activity and offsetting the associated GHG emissions. Through the Clean CO2 certification, the emissions will be offset through the purchase of VER (Verified Emission Reductions) carbon credits in projects for the improvement of the environment and the social setting. In this case, these projects will consist of restoring wells in local communities in Malawi to supply more than 450,000 people with drinking water.

In regard to the hotels, this will be a very special year for PortAventura Business & Events. In addition to the new Hotel Colorado Creek, Hotel PortAventura will reopen in April following extensive renovations on its interior. This hotel, one of the most strategically located for PortAventura B&E because of its proximity to the Convention Centre, is undergoing a complete reform of its 500 rooms as well as the communal areas and its three restaurants (Buffet del Port, Port Regata and Pica Pica).

All these works will result in the ability to host multiple events at the same time, and on an even larger scale. PortAventura Business & Events also has a versatile Convention Centre with capacity to accommodate more than 4,000 people, its own catering services, golf courses, beach club and exclusive openings of PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land.
