PortAventura Convention Centre has been chosen as ‚Best Convention Centre in Spain 2023‘ at the fourth edition of the World Mice Awards, held in Berlin. With this recognition, PortAventura Convention Centre has established itself as a benchmark in the MICE sector in Spain, ahead of large national venues. The World Mice Awards recognise excellence in the MICE sector worldwide, identifying leading brands based on expert evaluations by industry professionals, as well as the public.
Malin Nilsson, Director of PortAventura Business & Events, celebrated this success and pointed out that „this recognition is the result of the incredible work that the PortAventura Business & Events team carries out with each of our clients, in addition to a unique space, due to its location, versatility and focus on sustainability. For us, this award is a great achievement which, together with our record figures in 2023, has us facing this new year especially motivated, with the aim of continuing to lead the sector“.
How? Making available to attendees, in addition to its large convention centre, nine hotels, its own restaurants, shows and exclusive openings of PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land. All of this in a Mediterranean setting just one hour from Barcelona.
In 2023, PortAventura Business & Events broke records, hosting more than 280 events and nearly 70,000 participants throughout the year. In addition, PortAventura Business & Events confirmed its attractiveness and leadership at international level, with 61% of event attendees coming from abroad, particularly the United Kingdom and France.
Likewise, in 2023 PortAventura Convention Centre hosted the largest event in its history, the large annual Maersk convention, which was attended by more than 2,500 employees, who occupied 1,850 rooms, and were provided 25,000 catering services over 3 days.
PortAventura Convention Centre has established itself as an excellent option worldwide, thanks to its varied and versatile range of solutions, which can be adapted to a multitude of events, regardless of sector, type or format.
