PortAventura Business & Events closed 2025 with a positive balance, marked by sustained activity growth, national and international industry recognition, and the strengthening of a strategy focused on operational excellence, sustainability and the creation of high-value experiences for brands.
A year of consolidation that has reinforced its positioning as one of Europe’s leading MICE destinations, supported by the trust of major brands and the teams’ ability to design and deliver increasingly complex and personalised events.
International recognition and leadership in the MICE sector
Throughout 2025, PortAventura Convention Centre was once again recognised at the industry’s leading international awards, strengthening its position as one of Europe’s key benchmarks in the corporate events arena.
The Convention Centre received the Bronze Award for Best Overseas Conference Centre at the M&IT Awards 2025 in London, achieving this recognition for the fourth consecutive year. PortAventura Convention Centre shared the podium with venues such as CCIB Barcelona and the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, and was shortlisted alongside leading venues including RAI Amsterdam and The Convention Centre Dublin.
In June, it was also recognised as Best International Event Venue at the MICEbook Awards, one of the most prestigious accolades in the global meetings industry. These honours were complemented by a double award at the Global Eventex Awards 2025, where PortAventura Business & Events won Gold in the Large Venue category and Silver in Convention Centre, for the second year in a row.

Activity, volume and international profile
During 2025, PortAventura Convention Centre hosted more than 250 events and welcomed over 50,000 attendees, confirming its capacity to host large-scale events with a high level of organisational complexity.
Its international character was one of the most notable features of the year, with 61% of attendees coming from international markets, compared to 39% from Spain. In terms of contracting channels, 67% of events were managed through specialised agencies, while 33% were booked directly by companies, consolidating the Centre’s strength both in the intermediary channel and in direct relationships with corporate clients.
By typology, activity focused mainly on corporate conventions (86%), followed by incentive travel (4%) and other formats such as congresses, sporting events and experiential gatherings (10%).
Flagship events and high-impact experiences
Among the most significant events of the year was MSP GLOBAL 2025, one of Europe’s leading IT sector gatherings, which brought together more than 2,800 attendees over three days, featuring 180 international speakers and more than 50 exhibitors. The transformation of the Alexandria Hall into a 2,000 m² exhibition space highlighted the versatility of the facilities and the teams’ ability to manage highly complex logistics.
Another standout event was the international convention Uriach Unstoppable, which brought together 1,200 employees from 27 countries in an experiential format designed to convey the company’s corporate purpose through an immersive show combining music, dance and technology.
Throughout the year, companies such as Nokia, Merck Life Science, B&B HOTELS, Norauto, GAME, Iceland Seafood and Desalia by Ron Barceló trusted PortAventura Convention Centre to host events where brand strategy, technological innovation, sustainability and entertainment were seamlessly integrated.

Technological innovation and teams as key differentiators
Technological innovation was one of the main drivers of PortAventura Business & Events’ value proposition in 2025. Through Booster Audiovisual Solutions, the joint venture with Bmotion Audiovisual, PortAventura Convention Centre took another step forward in designing high-impact experiences, incorporating real-time personalisation solutions, immersive spaces, digital scenography and artificial intelligence-based tools.
This technological evolution, combined with the coordinated work of the commercial, marketing, operations, catering and audiovisual teams, placed attendees at the centre of the experience and strengthened emotional connections with brands through storytelling.
Sustainability as a strategic pillar
Sustainability continued to consolidate its role as one of PortAventura Business & Events’ strategic pillars. As the world’s first B Corp-certified convention centre, it reinforced its commitment throughout 2025 to a responsible events model without compromising excellence in the client experience.
During the year, electric vehicle charging points were expanded, specialised training in sustainable events was strengthened, and the PortAventura Solar self-consumption solar park was further developed. As a result of these initiatives, 30% of the resort’s energy consumption came from its own renewable sources, avoiding the emission of 6,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
In addition, 84% of suppliers were national and 57% local, many of them certified, reinforcing the commitment to the local economy and positive territorial impact.

Looking ahead
Strong sales performance allows PortAventura Business & Events to approach 2026 with very positive prospects. Currently, PortAventura Convention Centre has more than 35 events confirmed for the coming months, representing over 21,000 attendees, as well as a higher pipeline volume than the previous year.
This outlook is supported by a balanced mix of national and international clients such as RSM Consulting, LaLiga International, Avasa and Gamexpo, among others. The geographic distribution of confirmed events for 2026, with the UK, Spain and France as the main markets, reinforces PortAventura Convention Centre’s European projection as a leading MICE destination.
