More than 1,000 professionals gathered at “Universo Ávoris”, an event designed to transform the vision of tourism and strengthen the group’s corporate culture.
Ávoris Corporación Empresarial, the travel division of the Barceló Group, held its first strategic convention under the slogan “Ávoris Universe: the journey that will shape the future”, in collaboration with PortAventura Business & Events. This event, which brought together more than 1,000 tourism industry professionals, took place at the PortAventura Convention Centre, consolidating its position as a key meeting point for charting the future of tourism through innovation, sustainability, and human talent.
An immersive experience that connected vision and excitement.
The convention stood out for its multidimensional approach, which combined strategic analysis, immersive technology, and carefully designed experiential moments to strengthen corporate culture. The schedule included thematic forums on Ávoris’s main business areas —distribution, retail, wholesale, air travel, and inbound travel— as well as sessions focused on leadership, communication, innovation, and sustainability.
One of the most impressive moments was the immersive gala dinner in the Roma room, which offered a unique sensory experience thanks to its engaging 270° projection technology, cutting-edge design, and integrated brand narrative. This setting strengthened attendees’ emotional connection to the company’s values and vision.
Versatile spaces to present the global strategy
The various phases of the event took place within the PortAventura World resort, under its “All in One” model, which integrates accommodation, catering, leisure, and technology into a single sustainable destination. The working sessions took place at the PortAventura Convention Centre, while attendees stayed in the resort’s hotels and enjoyed exclusive opening of two areas of the park with dinner.

During the event, key figures from the group, such as Simón Pedro Barceló, Vicente Fenollar, and Juan Carlos González, participated in roundtable discussions and strategic sessions, highlighting the group’s vision for the future.
