Wednesday 27 February 2013 heralded the first edition of Attraction Media. Held by the Media Association it follows a legacy of four consecutive successful years of the Advertising Sales Representatives’ Forum, organised by Más Cuota. Por tAventura Business & Events was one of the sponsors for the gathering, which was attended by the Spanish Advertisers Association (AEA), AEDEMO, AMPE, the Spanish Marketing Association and other specialist communications media institutions and bodies.

Attraction Media was attended in Madrid by more than 300 professionals within the advertising industry, representing advertisers, agencies and communications media.  The central theme was the debate on the future of advertising  although the 15 speakers also presented a review of the current situation and put forward some excellent ideas of benefit to the industry. The day was opened by Fernando Almedo, managing director of Coca-Cola and president of the Spanish Advertisers Association, who highlighted the need to collectively create value.

Furthermore, thanks to a survey open to 3500 professionals from media agencies and advertisers,  accolades were handed out to the media that have turned themselves into the most popular in Spain.   Eugenia Gaisan, Director of Marketing at PortAventura, and Victoria Galván, Marketing&Communication Manager of the corporate division of PortAventura Business & Events were in charge of giving the award for the medium with the best marketing abroad in 2012 to JC Decaux and Clear Channel.

The other award winners were El Mundo in the press category; Antena 3 in the category of television; Onda Cero for radio; Hearst Magazine for magazines; Discine, Movierecord and Yelmo Cines in the category cinema; Google in the categories Internet, display advertising and search engines; Facebook in the category of social networking; Tap Tap Network in the mobile category; La Voz de Telecinco for special actions, Grupo Antena 3 in the media group category and, finally, A3 Advertising in the sales team category.

Leo Farache, Managing Director of Attraction Media and master of ceremonies, brought the awards to a close by thanking all sponsors, including PortAventura Business & Events, for their support at a gathering that brought together some of the leading experts in the world of communications. A final highlight was brought to the day with a touch of humour and Andreu Buenafuente’s vision as an artist, spectator and consumer.
