At the event held in Barcelona on 9 February, Mark Robinson, Chief Commercial Officer de PortAventura World, and Laura Valdeolivas, Director of events at PortAventura Business & Events, in collaboration with the Ferrari test driver Marc Gené, presented the opening of Ferrari Land, a new event venue.

Ferrari Land will be new attraction for companies choosing PortAventura World to stage their events. At PortAventura Business & Events, it is hoped that Ferrari Land will provide clients with value added.

Lastly, it will help to attract new MICE industry clients who, up until now, have been infrequent at this destination and want to enjoy this unique attraction in Europe.

“Everyone at PortAventura Business & Events is very excited about the presentation of Ferrari Land, a new event venue. Among other options, the new park will offer clients the possibility of holding outdoor cocktail parties, dinners at an authentic Italian Trattoria, exclusive use, and team-building-activities. The idea rests on an inspired combination of Italian art, Mediterranean cuisine, and the innovation of Ferrari. The park, which is scheduled to open on 7 April, is without doubt PortAventura World’s most important project to date,” explained Laura Valdeolivas, Director of PortAventura Business & Events.

“A further step in our growth is to be able to collaborate with an international brand as important as Ferrari in Europe. Furthermore, we will be the only resort in Europe with three theme parks: PortAventura Park, Caribe Aquatic Park, and the new Ferrari Land, as well as four 4-star hotels, a 5-star boutique hotel, a modern, versatile convention centre, three golf courses, and a beach club,” added Mark Robinson, Chief Commercial Officer ofPortAventura World.

“The perception of acceleration, speed, and gravitational force that the vertical accelerator produces is the nearest thing to driving a Formula 1 car. Another attraction that will get the adrenaline pumping are the simulators, since they are semi-professional and mimic the sensation of driving a Formula 1 car on a track in a very real fashion,” said Marc Gené, Ferrari test pilot.

With the opening of Ferrari Land, PortAventura Business & Events will consolidate its position as a meeting destination.
